Eye Grab Hooks are primarily designed for use with a grade 80 chain for lifting heavy loads. This type of lifting equipment is commonly used in heavy haulage industries but can also be used for commercial shipping. Eye Grab Hooks are most often used to hook back a chain leg to form a choker or as a chain shortener.
The small opening increases the load strength and stops the chain from slipping. This chain component itself has a reinforced saddle, which supports the chain and reduces wear. The section is almost circular making it very strong and resistant to bending.
A downside of some hooks is that they tend to reduce the working load limit (WLL) of a chain. However, our Eye Grab Hooks allow for no such reduction thanks to the supporting wings that prevent any deformation of the chain link.
